Use this connector in a flow

  1. Register the ZIP in your tenant, or add a new version if the connector is already installed.
  2. Create or select a credential if the action requires one.
  3. In a Draft flow, add an available action, choose its version, connect it, and map inputs.
  4. Test the step and flow; review output and failures before activation.

See readme.md in the ZIP for settings and limitations.

API and access

Implementation considerations
  • Voice and messaging TwiML: Generate prompts, speech/keypad collection, audio playback, hangup, transfers and inbound SMS replies or forwarding.
  • Calls and messages: Submit SMS/MMS and outbound calls, and generate routing, bridging and conference TwiML.
  • Call transcription: Start or stop a call transcription and generate inbound transcription-leg routing.
  • This is the existing version 4.9 connector, published without executable or schema changes. Preserve component ID twilioConnectorPlus and UUID 044f0264-20ba-47f6-9b90-3f4c9ae429ae. An existing 4.9 installation does not need a functional upgrade.
  • TwiML-generating actions require the receiving application or CXFabric flow to return the generated XML to Twilio. Generating XML alone does not place a call or send a message.
  • REST actions use a CXFabric Basic Auth credential with an API key SID and secret, plus a separate target Account SID where requested. TwiML actions generally do not need a Twilio credential.
  • Result shapes remain action-specific: promptXml, twiMl or the existing success/message wrapper. Inspect the selected result before reporting success. Some validation paths return success: false; other failures can throw.
  • REST requests use the existing 10-second timeout, while optional caller-classification requests use 30 seconds. Reconcile uncertain call/message submissions before retrying; no idempotency guarantee is provided.
  • Keep debug disabled for sensitive flows. The existing runtime can log call, message, media and callback data. Receiving applications own webhook verification, authorization and callback processing.
  • Phone-number provisioning, number inventory, balance and usage reporting are supplied by the separate Twilio Admin connector. Flex management is outside this package.
  • Package, identity, JavaScript syntax and preservation checks passed. This publication does not claim new hosted import or live API validation.
