Implementation considerations
- Business partner references: Read one bounded returned page with selected keys, names, category/grouping and customer/supplier references.
- Exact master-data lookups: Retrieve selected business partner, customer and supplier metadata with exact keys and central flags.
- Caller-managed reference reads; no synchronization job or webhook trigger is included.
- Use an approved Public Edition SAP_COM_0008 communication arrangement with enabled Basic Authentication and a managed communication-user credential. API Hostname is the lowercase -api.s4hana.ondemand.com or -api.s4hana.cloud.sap host from the arrangement, without scheme, path or port.
- Exact string keys preserve leading zeroes and case. Fixed GET selections omit address/contact/bank/tax/payment details and navigation objects. Nullable central flags do not establish operational readiness.
- Page Limit/Row Offset map to bounded top/skip queries. Server continuation metadata is recorded as presence only; links are not followed or echoed. No complete-directory or end-of-collection claim is made; caller owns consistency and completeness checks.
- No writes, financial/employee transactions, company-code/sales-area/purchasing data, SOAP/RFC, custom gateways, API Hub sandbox, private edition/on-premise destinations or certificate/token mode is included. Target release, Basic access, selected fields/JSON headers and paging require live validation.
- The package implements four Public Edition Business Partner OData v2 reads with an explicitly enabled communication-user Basic arrangement. Vendor sample metadata is not a live tenant schema; target fields and permissions require validation.
