Implementation considerations
- Department references: Read a bounded page of internal IDs and selected exact department metadata.
- Location references: Read a bounded page of internal IDs and selected exact location metadata.
- Caller-managed reference reads; no polling or webhook trigger is included.
- Use the approved account hostname from NetSuite Company URLs and a managed OAuth 2.0 bearer credential for the correct account and role. Token enrollment and refresh remain external.
- Lists return internal ID references. Exact reads select ID, name and a nullable inactive flag; that flag does not establish operational availability. No addresses, subsidiaries or custom fields are returned.
- Keep Page Size fixed and use checked aligned offsets. At the 1000-page boundary, continuationBlocked remains nonterminal. Caller owns iteration budgets, deduplication and completeness checks.
- No writes, financial or employee transactions, SuiteQL, SOAP, RESTlets or arbitrary record input is included. Account features, permissions and selected-field behavior need live validation.
