Implementation considerations
  • Store only the issued subscription key in a managed Bearer Token credential. This credential container supplies the raw PDDS-Subscription-Key header, without Authorization or a Bearer prefix; query-string keys are excluded. Issuance, rotation, permissions and practice scope remain external.
  • Requests use only api.planetdds.com/denticon/practices/v0. Other products, arbitrary hosts and undocumented sandbox/regional targets are excluded.
  • Office ID is positive int32 and must match the returned native numeric identity. Operatory/code IDs preserve native numeric zero. Nullable text retains null and empty strings; absent optional fields and false active flags are not fabricated or collapsed.
  • Page Number defaults to 1; Page Size defaults to 50 with native maximum 1000. A present page-number echo must match; requested context is not fabricated returned metadata. There is no automatic paging or completeness inference. Null page data fails while empty arrays remain scoped reads.
  • Office active flags, operatory references and cancellation definitions do not establish real-time availability, appointment eligibility or operational health. Patient/provider/contact/appointment/medical/clinical/financial data and writes are outside this package.
  • Strict JSON/media/UTF-8, a 1 MiB response cap, normal TLS trust and a shared 1–8 second budget fail without redirects, proxies or replay. HTTP 404, denied reads, error envelopes and invalid selected fields remain failures. Hosted import, dependencies and live key/office/paging behavior remain untested.
  • Three native Practices API v0 reference reads use a managed issued subscription key and the documented fixed server. Public OpenAPI grounds paths, native field types and paging; hosted dependencies and live key/office/paging behavior need validation.
